Rich and his family live in Leonard Stanley, where he has worked locally faming, for the last 9 years. This is where he found his passion- fencing!
He has always been a doer- never wanting to stay indoors and always fixing something!
He and his wife Alice have 2 children together, along with Rich’s two eldest children, and Alice’s eldest son, so home life is never boring or quiet!
Along with the kids, they have various animals, including his beloved collie dog Blue, Alice’s Staffordshire Bull Terrier Bea and welsh moutain pony Charm, an established flock of chickens and their small flock of Easycare Sheep which are kept locally in Kings Stanley. Animals are a huge part of life.
Rich is well known locally for being a hard working, reliable person, regularly lending a hand to locals with jobs that need doing. He has vast experience in all types of farm work, tractor driving, animal husbandry and field maintenance. He is always willing to go the extra mile for people and will put his hand to anything!

Our Chickens
We have a small backyard flock of 19 chickens, including our resident cockerel Gobbles! Their eggs are for sale daily on the egg stand at Brimley in Leonard Stanley.

Our Sheep

We run a small flock of Easycare sheep, 18 ewes, Eric the ram and 2 mule ewes who were purchased as orphan company for one of our own orphan lambs, Ginger! They are kept locally, so they are never far away!
Easycare sheep are just that, easy! They require minimal intervention, can lamb virtually unaided and raise strong lambs with little to no intervention. They have their trademark 'batwing' ears and are self shedding, meaning there is no requirement for shearing. The fleece they shed wither goes back into the ground to provide the soil with nitrogen, or birds pick it up as a cosy lining for their nests!
